We were so thrilled to gather in Brisbane, Australia on June 18th 2021 for our first Inspiration Day since November 2019. We welcomed graduates from 2020 courses who had been unable to attend an Inspiration Day at the time of their study due to COVID-19, as well as some special alumni. We were SO grateful and happy to be connecting with everyone after such a long time apart.
Our venue was Loyal Hope of the Valley – converted church which was beautiful, light and relaxed, with plenty of room to mingle and lots of oxygen giving plants. We were in heaven!
Giving our incredible trainees of 2019 a big hug as they walked through the door, and witnessing their joy as they met each other in-person for the first time, was a truly special moment.
Our fabulous Client Care and Communications Manager Liz Deanna was our emcee, welcoming everyone and reading a message from CEO and Founder Julie Parker, who was unable to attend due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. We were joined via livestream by Julie and alumni from around the world who got to see the day unfold in real time. Our General Manager Laura Banks then set the scene for a day of connection, learning and inspiration. We also welcomed two new team members in Annie Gichuru, DEI Coach and Consultant and Support Trainer and Danielle Knight, Support Trainer.
Our first speaker for the day was Beautiful You graduate and current Emerging Coach of the Year Sharyn Holmes. As a leadership and inclusion coach, intuitive mystic, speaker, artist, writer, and the CEO of Formidable Voices, Sharyn invited us to redefine leadership for ourselves and spoke to inclusive leadership as a sustainable, ethical and regenerative pathway to leading in a way that is unique to us.
It was then time for a panel conversation on Mindset Magic led by Support Trainer Danielle Knight. We welcomed Beautiful You graduates Anxiety Coach Diana Braybrooke and Life Design Coach Chrissy Roil to the stage for a a great conversation. Diana shared her ‘Three C’s’ of connection, clarity and calm to guide clients to a deeper sense or who they are and their inner wisdom and Chrissy shared the power of supporting clients to be intentional with their thinking and remembering our mind is a tool we can use and not the ‘driver’ of our life.
Following the panel conversation it was afternoon tea break, with plenty of time to connect and catch up. Seeing the deep conversations, joy and laughter as people celebrated being together was a highlight of the day!
After the break it was time for our final keynote speaker, Beautiful You Certified Coach and former trainer Katherine McKenzie Smith. As a a business and leadership coach, ideas alchemist, energy and soul medicine practitioner, and podcast host, Katherine spoke on the topic of ‘Your Soul Work’. Katherine helped us see our soul work as an epic waterfall, full of infinite energy and power that we all have the capacity and ability to tap into. Our coaching businesses are the vessels that we can hold under that waterfall, holdinghold a small part of our soul work, who we are, the journey we’re on and what we’re here to do in the world.
To finish, Laura guided everyone through an exercise to anchor into a feeling we wanted to carry forward from such an incredible day.
It was then time to celebrate! Bubbles were served and there was plenty more time for conversation and laughter. We had a special guest appearance from Julie via video call and of course long-awaited graduation photos with certificates.
Our first Inspiration Day in over eighteen months will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who watched live from home.
We can’t wait for more days to come!
