What Does Being ‘Authentic’ Really Mean?

April 4th, 2016 | 1 comment

We all know the importance of being authentic and genuine when it comes to having a successful business. However our ability to be authentic is even more important in the realm of life coaching when your clients are choosing to work with YOU as their coach. But what does being ‘authentic’ really mean?  The word has certainly taken on a life of it’s own. We see and hear it everywhere which can leave us questioning: Am I being my true, authentic self?   On one hand we want people to know how well we can support them as coaches – we’re professional and courteous, but there’s also the very human side to us that still has bad days and struggles and even has a wicked sense of humour. Without fully realising, there are times when we’ve probably dulled down parts of ourselves or even enhanced certain aspects of our personality…

Life Coaching Lessons From Gabrielle Bernstein

January 15th, 2015 | 26 comments

Recently I had the amazing experience of hearing Gabrielle Bernstein speak live on her Earth Events tour of Australia and enjoyed a gorgeous brief chat with her afterwards too. She was gracious, giving, and a joy to listen to as she floated across the stage effortlessly sharing her wisdom on all things life, love and light. I often don’t like to take notes when I am listening to a great speaker, rather choosing to be fully in the moment and listening to what I am supposed to hear.  But for this one I found myself frantically scribbling as Gabby shared gem after gem, which I immediately knew was perfect wisdom for life coaches to hear.  And so I hope you love these Life Coaching Lessons From Gabrielle Bernstein as she so eloquently shared them with everyone in the room.  And while they were not directed at life coaches per se…

SEO Resources for Life Coaches

June 18th, 2014 | 25 comments

Ok now…please do not fall asleep at your desk or put down your fancy tablet. Or worse still – turn and run – because I just mentioned the ESS EE OH thing. Keeping up with your blogging and making sure all your links work on your site is more than enough to do with your time as a life coach right?  Right. Well…almost right. I was absolutely one of those coaches that when I first got a website and started blogging regularly, who paid no attention whatsoever to SEO.  I simply blogged away, never paid it no…

How To Heal Your Money Relationship: Resources for Coaches

April 9th, 2014 | 10 comments

Let’s talk cash! Some may say that it’s crass to come right out the gate with such a sentiment, but in truth, I think that’s part of the reason why so many of us (as people and as coaches too) have our relationship with money more than a bit topsy turvy. We don’t really want to talk about money that much –  but we do want it. We know deep in our heart that what we do as a life coach, health coach, or business coach is truly valuable – but we hesitate to charge what it’s truly worth. We would like an efficient, organised and steady stream of income, but often shy away from creating systems that are efficient, organised and steady. We want to live a rich and abundant life but have fears around ‘owning’ that – being concerned others will see us as greedy or selfish. Did…
