As a coaching community we want to acknowledge and reward our coaches for the truly amazing things they are doing in their businesses and the lives of their clients. Beautiful You Life Coaches are gently impacting the world with every client they see, group program they create, podcast they inspire with and book they write. They have appeared in national TV and news programs, major print publications, and online websites such as The Huffington Post, Women’s Agenda and Daily Worth.  The Beautiful You Coaching Academy Awards are our way of honouring the brilliant work they are doing all over the world and their continuing service to promote the growth and respect of coaching as a profession.

We presented our inaugural awards at a celebratory dinner in March 2016 and look forward to doing so again in March 2017.

FAQS & Guidelines

I am still currently a trainee and not a graduate coach. Can I enter?

If you graduate before the closing of the nomination period you may enter. If you are yet to graduate we welcome you nominating for the next awards.

Can I enter more than one award?

Yes. You may enter as many awards as you are eligible for, noting however that only one entry per the Program/Event and Book/Podcast/Product award can be submitted.  Choose your best ones!

Can I get someone else to nominate me?

No. All entries are via self-nomination.

If I have been a winner or finalist before can I enter again?

Prior winners of a category are not eligible to enter that category again but may all others. Prior finalists of a category are eligible to enter that category again with the exception of the Emerging Coach Category. This is because by nature that award relates to a coach who was emerging in the industry at the time they were a prior finalist in that award and therefore a year later are no longer at that stage.

Does it matter what year I graduated to enter any category?

Not at all. We welcome you nominating yourself for any category no matter whether you are a very recent graduate or have been one for years.

Can I send extra supporting material for my nomination?

If we require further information we will contact you, otherwise we request you fill out the online form paying particular attention to word limits for every answer. If your entry relates to a physical product such as a printed book, copies will be requested to be mailed to all judges for review. If it relates to an online program access will be requested to that as well.

Who are the awards judged by?

The awards will be judged by members of BYCA staff, trainers and industry experts, none of whom are eligible for awards.

Can I enter something I have done in partnership with someone else/others such as a co-hosted event?

If the person/s you have done something in partnership with is a fellow BYCA coach – yes.  If they are not then no. This is because we have no way of knowing what roles the two (or more) of you played in the overall creation of what you did.

If one of the judges has been a guest on my podcast or in my program can I still enter that?

If they have been a one time guest only and not played any significant role in the creation, delivery or marketing of what is being nominated then yes.  If the judging panel feel that any persons involvement is deemed too significant we will inform you of this.

What will give me the best chance of winning any category I enter?

Our biggest tips to you are a) pay close attention to every one of the judging criteria knowing that is what your entry will be reviewed against, b) ensure your website and online presence is up to date and beautifully maintained, c) submit a well written and strong nomination that provides succinct but powerful details for every question asked of you.

How many finalists will there be for each award?

A minimum of three and a maximum of six finalists will be selected for each award. Not every category may have the same number of finalists.

How will finalists and winners be selected?

Chance plays no part in the selection of finalists and winners.  All entrants will be judged on merit according to judging criteria.  Selections made are final with no correspondence entered into.

Can I get feedback on my entry?

We are unable to provide feedback on any entry. You will receive an acknowledgement upon receipt of your entry, but no feedback at any time during or post the award period.

When will I know if I am a finalist?

Finalists will be notified via email prior to the end of 2016.  We kindly request you do not contact us before this time about your application.

Can I still nominate myself if I am unable to attend the award dinner?

Yes. Being able to attend the award dinner is not a condition of nomination or winning an award.
